Two holiday apartments above Bath Street, and an opening list

The upper floors of Blake House are planned as two self-catering apartments in the centre of Bakewell. Send us your dates and we will tell you as soon as bookings open.

Above the street, Blake House has two floors of rooms with windows across the town. We plan to make them into two holiday apartments, furnished and run by us and booked directly with us, with no service fee.

The Top Floor sits under the roof: a sitting room with a side window, a galley kitchen under a roof light, a big double bedroom and a new shower room. It is meant for couples and walkers, and we will keep the sloping ceilings and boarded walls wherever we can. The photographs below show it as it is today.

The First Floor is the larger of the two, with two bedrooms for a family or two couples, a dining kitchen and an angled sitting room on the corner over Bath Street. There are no photographs of it here.

Both are a couple of minutes' walk from the Monday market, the river and the pubs, with the Monsal Trail, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall close by. Bookings are not open yet; we will publish rates and dates for each apartment once they are ready to book. Until then, send us the dates you have in mind and which apartment you would like, and we will be in touch as soon as the calendar is live.
