Introducing Watson Group, a family property business
William Watson has set up Watson Group to restore old buildings in Derbyshire and the Peak District, let them with care and look after them for the long term.
Watson Group is a family business run by William Watson. We look for the buildings other people pass over: stone town buildings with empty upper floors, shops that have lost their trade, houses that need more work than most buyers want to take on. We restore them properly, then keep them and look after them ourselves.
The work falls into three parts. Watson Lettings will run holiday apartments that guests book directly with us. Watson Commercial will let small serviced units at street level on simple monthly terms, with the bills, Wi-Fi and repairs in one fee. Watson Developments buys houses, mixed-use buildings and portfolios for cash, in any condition, for owners who want a straightforward sale.
Our first project is Blake House, a three-storey gritstone building on the corner of Bath Street in Bakewell. We will post short notes here as it moves along: what we find, what we decide, and when the apartments and units are ready for enquiries.
